According to the official statement issued by Joint Commissioner of Police, ACB, Sisodia arrived at the ACB office at 11:00 AM and was examined for over three hours in the presence of an independent Panch witness. This step was taken to ensure procedural fairness and transparency during the inquiry.
The investigation revolves around allegations that multiple construction projects initiated under the Delhi government were executed at inflated costs, suggesting a potential misuse of public funds on a massive scale. The case has sparked political controversy, with opposition parties accusing the former AAP-led administration of masking financial irregularities under the guise of education reform.
ACB Records Sisodia’s Statement, Probe Continues in High-Value Scam
During his appearance, Manish Sisodia was questioned about key financial decisions, tendering processes, cost estimations, and approvals related to classroom construction projects under his tenure as the education minister. His responses were officially recorded, and ACB sources indicate that further summons may be issued depending on the findings of the ongoing probe.
Sisodia, who played a central role in the AAP government’s education reforms, now faces mounting legal challenges following previous allegations in the excise policy case. This school construction case adds another layer of scrutiny, placing him at the heart of two major corruption investigations in the national capital.
The former minister left the ACB office at 2:30 PM after the completion of the day’s examination. Authorities have confirmed that further investigation is ongoing, and the case could see more political and bureaucratic names being drawn in.
This investigation has gained significant public attention, as it touches upon public trust in education-focused spending, a key electoral plank of the AAP government. As legal proceedings unfold, all eyes are now on whether this case will lead to formal charges or further political fallout in Delhi’s governance landscape.
