BJP MP Daggubati Purandeswari and an all-party Indian delegation push for global support against cross-border terrorism

In a powerful statement ahead of a multi-party Indian parliamentary delegation’s visit to Europe, BJP MP Daggubati Purandeswari has reaffirmed India’s unwavering commitment to combating terrorism. The delegation, which includes leaders from various political parties, is set to visit key European nations such as the UK, France, Germany, Italy, Denmark, and the EU to project a unified national stance against terrorism. With a focus on countering misinformation and exposing the global threat of cross-border terrorism, particularly Pakistan’s alleged role, the delegation aims to rally international support for India’s zero-tolerance policy.

    India’s Zero-Tolerance Policy on Terrorism

BJP MP Daggubati Purandeswari emphasized that India will no longer tolerate the decades-long terrorism that has plagued the nation. Speaking ahead of the delegation’s Europe visit, she underscored the need for the international community to recognize the gravity of India’s security challenges. The delegation, led by Ravi Shankar Prasad, is tasked with conveying India’s zero-tolerance policy on terrorism, urging global partners to support efforts to combat misinformation about the country’s security situation. The visit is a strategic effort to project India’s resolve on a global stage while reinforcing its commitment to peace and harmony.

Referencing “Operation Sindoor,” Prasad highlighted India’s capability to respond decisively to terrorist threats, particularly those originating across borders. By framing terrorism as a global issue rather than targeting any specific nation, the delegation seeks to build a coalition of international allies to tackle this menace. India’s message is clear: it will act with precision and strength to protect its citizens and expects the international community to stand in solidarity against terrorism.

Countering Misinformation and Seeking Global Accountability

Beyond asserting India’s stance, the delegation aims to counter global misinformation and expose what Indian leaders describe as Pakistan’s “terror model.” The group is calling for accountability, particularly highlighting Pakistan’s alleged support for terror networks. Leaders like Purandeswari and Prasad have described terrorism as a “cancer” threatening global peace, advocating for stronger international cooperation to curb its spread. A key proposal is to push for Pakistan’s return to the Financial Action Task Force (FATF) grey list to restrict terror financing, a critical step in dismantling the infrastructure supporting cross-border terrorism.

Through engagements with European nations and the EU, the delegation seeks to foster a consensus on the need for collective action against terrorism as a shared global challenge. The visit also aims to clarify that India’s actions target terrorism, not any specific country, ensuring the international community understands the complexities of India’s fight and the necessity for unified global action.
